The "Yakmobile" The almost pointless resurrection, restoration and running of a 1953 Norman Model 'C' Autocycle

Inspired by this spasm of progress, I set to and located my trusty Ratchet Crimper. Next, nothing for it but a trip for to the Cellar (der-der-dum-de-dum).

Stopping only momentarily, and for courage, I ate a bacon sandwich (two rashers, well done, on white sandwich loaf, with added HP sauce and cut diagonally). Then I plunged down the stairs, returning mere minutes later with a flimsy 12V switch and matching flimsy plastic mounting panel.

These Items were assembled and ceremoniously screwed to the battery box at the completion of a short but action-packed orgy of ratchet crimping, to acheive what is known as the 'Mark One Compact Dashboard Unit'. MOCDU for short. See above picture to revel in its full glory.

This of course represents a breakthrough in the restoration of the Yakmobile. We now have true 'roaming' capability with our own electrical power reservoir to power the Mark Two Ignition System. All easily controlled by the unassuming MOCDU.

Ladies and Gentlemen, pump up the tyres and we're ready to roll!

Hang On!

WHAt?

There's only one brake lever!

Oh yes, er, don't worry about it!
