So where are we? The upshot is that we have a 'viable' contraption. or perhaps a semi-viable contraption. The engine runs so it's not an unreasonable ambition to attempt self propulsion via the connection of the 'motive power' to the rear wheel via the age old transmission medium of the 'chain'.

I wish I had a photo of that day, the ignition was a free-form jump-lead work of art, in the same manner that Tracey Emin's bed is a work of art. However at that time I had no idea that all this was destined to become a 'yarn' so the picture above, as in the previous few pages are from the original gallery of shots that were intended to secure a top bid when we were going to flog it on e-bay.
