Ok, One last photo of from the original batch in September. Here you can see the loose approximation of parts that can almost be termed 'The Power Unit'. Notice if you have a care, the battered Drive Chain Guard, which has a fatigue crack nearly all the way through.
Another thing that I noticed was the design of the Exhaust, - it has a double cone expansion chamber which is an aid to performance and efficiency that is definitely rather 'Moderne' for a Fifties Autocycle.
What's less obvious is that there is no pedal on the other side of the bike, and that there is an unsecured bolt pushed through the end of the rear frame arms and which travels through the centre stand.
And less obvious again, for those with a more surreal frame of mind, notice the four miniature legs hanging from the petrol tank, one with a fuel pipe hanging from the trouser leg.
So my next task was to remove that chainguards and rear rack ready for repairs and painting and replace the loose bolt with a length of studding, so that the lower portion of the frame is securely clamped together.
